By using the Download Takeout Files command-line tool (“the tool”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the tool.
2. Description of the Tool
Download Takeout Files is an open-source CLI tool that helps download Google Takeout zip file data using Google Drive APIs.
The tool runs locally on your machine and only performs actions you explicitly request.
3. No Warranty
The tool is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- fitness for a particular purpose
- reliability or availability
- accuracy or completeness
You use the tool at your own risk.
4. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the author or contributors be liable for any damages, including but not limited to:
- data loss
- account issues
- service interruptions
- API rate limits or access revocation
This applies even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
5. User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- complying with Google’s Terms of Service and API policies
- ensuring you have permission to access and download the data you request
- safeguarding your own credentials, tokens, and downloaded files
The author is not responsible for misuse of the tool.
6. Third-Party Services
The tool interacts with third-party services such as Google APIs. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.
The author has no control over and assumes no responsibility for third-party services.
7. Changes to the Tool or Terms
The tool and these Terms of Service may change at any time without notice.
Continued use of the tool after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Termination
You may stop using the tool at any time. The author may discontinue the tool at any time without obligation or notice.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
